Not really. In Islam, Jesus was just another prophet, not the Son of God. Technically, Muhammed is the same, but he's (depending on sect) the final prophet prophesized to come on Earth to unite all Muslims, so he's a closer fit.

I admit I'm not a Muslim myself, but we did study them a bit at school, and Wikipedia seems to agree.

Well, this is all also just interpretation based on my time living in a muslim community, so I could be wrong. Anyways Muhammad was never characterized as a messianic archetype in Islam. He was the Last Messenger of God, his role is to bring forth a "completed version of a religion", but as you mentioned, unlike Jesus who's still chillin' somewhere in heaven, his job as Prophet is done. In Islamic Eschatology, it is believed that Jesus will return in End Times as a Messiah, that will save humanity from the False Messiah the Anti-Christ.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Jesus showed up against Beast Nero or smthing.

Although I still hope we get Vainamoinen and the rest of the Kalevala heroes at some point. I also think is Marjatta because she and her baby were allegories for Mary and Jesus, which would make Jeanne mistake them even more thematic in the story Riyo is building up to
