was playing arcade on a higher difficulty and at midway it did this interruption thing with "new challenger"
i thought maybe it was like a special thing for higher difficulties
after i won the first time it happened again
eventually noticed the cpu was mimicking my movements
still didn't realize the truth until i noticed the continue for 2p was counting down post-game
so apparently pressing start on the ps4 controller counts as a 2nd player and uses the same movements
literally played two matches against myself without realizing this
