Kojou uses both Regulus Aurum and Al-Meisan Mercury, while Accelerator did a footstomp and can also go black wings.

How do the different support attacks work?

Really different. Every assist has 2 types of support. Defense, Attack or Support Attack. There is a great variety of supports and attacks. You can call neutral assist with pressing the Support button or call offensive assist with pressing the Support button while holding left or right.

A lot of characters require specific timing upon summon and you have to mind combo proration so the connect doesn't drop, also you have to keep the combo going after the summon to lead the combo INTO the summon. Pretty much: Go training mode and figure out shit.

This is exactly what makes this game so great, the assist system adds amazing depth to a practically simple game. There are no 623 or 421 inputs.
2A+B is your magic macro for DP, 5A+B assault attack or 4A+B instant overhead into auto launcher for air combo.
3 Bursts: Power Burst to increase damage, Combo Burst to keep a combo going and Defense Burst when you want them out of your face.
Trump Card system enables Reverse Beats in your combos, makes assist summons entirely cost-free and more flexible (you can summon them whenever you want instead of after you hit the enemy). They can also be used to power up your ultra supers for massive damage instead.

On top of that, it's a French Bread title, so you still get your combo shenanigans and all that shit on top, paired with a complex assist system, this game is amazing.

Game was made with fun in mind, it's simply hella fun to play.
