Hello everyone, i'm new here and my english is not that good but i think we'll be able to understand each other.

ANYWAY... this thread is not about me, its about a RPG that i wish i could play but as long as its really really hard to find a Dungeon Master that make it, so i'll do.

First of all, i have my own system and i made it by my own based on lots of informations and other RPG rules. It may sound strange at first but you'll be able to see that it is fun and dinamic. In this system we don't have IVs or EVs but we have natures and base stats. Pokémon can have ALL there abilities if possible and shiny ones are stronger and already come with there hidden ability. But the main attraction of this system is that you can make attack and defense actions with dinamic ideas like an Alakazam blocking Blastoise's Hydro Pump with it's Psychic or use Magcargo's Flamethrower to make it move faster and evade an attack, or even use Machamp's 4 arms to grapple the opponent pokémon to use a free elemental punch in the next turn. Its your imagination that counts... with the DM permision ofcourse.
Trainers also have stats so we can see how they can deal with travel hardships in the wild. Trainers have skills, knowledges and one or more "Trainer Abilities" of there own in the character.

I have alot of experience as a Pokémon RP Master and i know that when people play in a team of trainers, they usually fight offgame for a pokémon that they want, so i made a rule to block almost all those fights. The Especialist Rule. Each player will choose a pokémon type to have priority over it, so no other player can catch that kind or type of pokémon without there owner permition.
Ex.: A trainer got electric type and another player who is walking with him got flying. EVEN if they are far away from each other, the electric one CAN'T catch a flying pokémon ( Exept if it is Emolga that is on his type too ) without the flying guy's permition offgame. IF they are togheter them find Emolga, that have both types, they'll need to discuss who will get it INGAME.
I'll explain more about this later.
That rule explains itself but i'll be clear. NO ONE will have the same pokémon. NPCs can have any pokémon the DM want even if they are the same as the players, but players can have ONLY ONE pokémon at the same species. EVEN when they are separeted groups, if a player have a Bulbasaur, NO PLAYER will have it or it's evolution forms. Your pokémons are all unique.

Evolutions can happen anytime, and when i say "anytime" i'm saying that the pokémons will evolve at the DMs will, not by the player's will or level. Ofcourse, if the DM let you get a Fire Stone, you are free to evolve your Eevee into Flareon anytime so itens are out of this rule.

If you saw the Pokémon Adventures Manga, you know that the trainers from there have "Trainer Abilities" that can help ALOT in the jorney. You can use your imagination to create an ability but with DM's permition. Some examples are: Expert Trainer, Great Battler, Evolutor, Breeder, Trader, Catcher, Gym Battler, Contester...

I like tableset RPGs and this system use almost all the time 3d6 but i'll play the dices for all the actions

CHARACTER CREATION:
When i told that you have to choose a type or a kind, it doesn't mean you HAVE TO have a monotype team. The choice of priority is here to make a theme for your trainer and to garantee that you'll get the pokémons you want ( atleast almost ). So you can choose a color like green, a kind like reptiles, a special feature like fat ones, 4 legs ones, more them one head, etc. It can also be a colective like Eevolutions, different kinds of Dittos, Rotoms, Pikaclones... just use your imagination to come with a nice theme for your character and please, no legendary theme. Other important thing about this is that you are not allowed to deny someone to capture a pokémon that you'll not get to you and remember that if you capture to much pokémons, they'll be in low level and you'll expand ALOT of money with food.
Even if your theme is not a type, you can choose a pokémon type to be able to teach moves to your pokémon. In my system, almost everyone are movetutors of there own type so, a Fire trainer will be able to teach "Ember" to any pokémon who later could use "Flamethrower" or other fire spit like move. The DM will define when a pokémon can learn a move with this movetutor ability so low level pokémons don't spam "Fire Blast" from the start.

Like i said before, the "Trainer Abilities" boost something of your trainer, making it really easy to catch a pokémon, making your pokémon evolve faster them normal or even getting small bonuses in battles.

Later on, i'll make something cool that i saw in a Pokémon RPG online, but it'll stay as a surprise for now.

Another feature of my system is that i don't use PP, it lets the question "What about the moves that remove PP or the itens that restore PP?". They'll affect a stat called "COURAGE".
The "Courage" stat do not grow with level and don't ever change. For pokémons that don't have Nature mods, the Courage value will be always 4 as for the ones that have Nature mods will have 3. The starter will aways have +1 and the shinies have +1 too so, if your starter is shiny it'll have +2. Those points can be expanded to get better results on actions. You can use them all at once or save some for other actions. They'll be restored just like PPs, in pokémon centers, with itens or just taking a day of rest. They are usually used for heroic actions and can save your pokémon in some situations if the DM agreed with it.

If anyone are interested, send me a PM with the background of your character or just ask to play. Good backgrounds can be rewarded with custom starters and maybe even shiny ones if it surprise me. Remember that an original theme and the individuality of your character is what counts, so don't try to come with overpowered genious trainer because it'll not give you points with me.

I know about that Artee , but even a fire trainer can have other type of pokémons. You are not locked in a monotype team. Ofcourse that a fire trainer will never try to put a Politoed with hidden ability on his/her team but other pokémons that could learn fire moves can be cool. Also, you can just try to find a theme other them a type so you can include almost your favorite pokémons. Tell me your favorite and maybe i can help you to find a cool theme.

I'm very interested in joining this, but I was having some problems about deciding what type mine could be listed under. I'm fond of Fire types such as Blaziken, Charizard, and Talon Flame. But I'm a huge fan of Greninja, Sceptile, and Galvantula. I was originally planning to ask if I could choose my type to be Bi-pedal but that seems to steal a lot of favorites from everyone else so I'd rather not do that. Do you have any recommendations? I'll PM you my basic character details if that will help.

SOME MORE INFORMATIONS

The adventure will be set in a region created by my own that have a gym from each type and is way bigger them others.

I'll save the rules of the system for later so you all learn during the RP. This will make your characters more realistic because your newbie trainer will not have knowledge of a gym leader.

You don't need TM to teach new moves but as a newbie your character lack of knowledge of the moves that are not in your theme.
The trainers also have a level so it can tell how good they are and it'll limit certain things.

You can play with others posting here. Separeted groups will have there RP in the "Spoiler" stuff so please, read only the RP from YOUR party ok? If you travel alone or want to do something in secret from other players, we'll RP INBOX.

This RP is open for almost ANY kind of character, so if you want to be a villian, you can, but don't think i'll let you go bulling the good guys like a boss because i'll limit your actions. As a villian, you have to let the heroes have a chance.

For now i'll not let you have custom pokémons and i warn you... choose your first one wisely, it'll be your partner from the beggining and it usually create a special bond. The first pokémon have some little advantages that i'll tell later.
We'll have MEGA later, but it requires a REALLY STRONG bond between the pokémon and the trainer, so choose wisely because you'll have ONLY ONE MEGA.

BATTLE RULES

When you battle with an NPC, its just normal to post your action and wait for the result gave by the DM, in this case, me, but when you battle with another player, the rules will be diferent from some other forum RPs i saw around the web. Here, we have a DM, so the DM will judge. The DM will say who post first, them the first player will post his/her action, them the second player can post a reaction and both wait into the DM tells what happened.
EX.:

DM: Purple won the initiative check, she'll go first.
Purple: Ekans, constrict it with WRAP!
Brown: Sandsherew, protect yourself with DEFENSE CURL!
DM: *Purple's Ekans coils itself so it can lauch it's entire body over Brown's Sandsherew and try to wrap around the mouse pokémon with it's snake body. The defender pokémon was fast enough to curl up like a ball, rising it's DEFENSE stats and completly blocking the damage due to it. The Sandsherew is constricted by Ekans, but the snake pokémon's hug is not strong enough to hurt it's pray in this curled position.*
Go on Brown, your turn.
Brown: Lets go my friend, its time to free yourself with RAPID SPIN!
Purple: Oh no! Ekans, release it to avoid the damage!
DM: *Brown's Sandsherew spins really fast thanks for it's move, letting it's little claws make the move become scratching so it could hurt Purple's Ekans in the result, but the snake pokémon was fast enough to avoid it thanks for it's trainer's advice...

And so go on. The players can discribe there actions some more like the DM did, but remember to never give results. As you can act right after the reaction, you can command your pokémon to react and act in the same post.

EX.:
Brown: Lets go pal, protect yourself with DEFENSE CURL them use RAPID SPIN to get free!
*As the oponent Ekans come, Sandsherew prepare itself to make the moves that his trainer ordered. Due it's low experience in real battles, the little mouse pokémon seems nervous and a drop of sweat is visible next it's forehead*

You can only RP results after the judgemment of the DM.
Also, players can do secret actions when possible. Like... if Purple is hiding, ready to attack Brown in the first sight, she can send an INBOX post to the DM and post something that do not review her secret action to the others. As this, the DM will describe the scene and give the results.
Level up, results of actions, evolution, capture chance, encounters... they are all decided by the DM so, when not battling, wait into the DM let you make an action and them wait for the results. It may make the game a little slower, but it'll be better and easier to control.
Almost all those results will be decided by the DM by rolling dices offline and following the system rules. Those rules will be told as the game takes place so the players can RP like newbie trainers and do not understand pokémon natures, stats, abilities or even some moves. So even the level of your pokémons will be hidden and don't think the wild pokémons will have exatly the same moveset as the game, because i'll change it so they be even more dinamic.

I don't know who are the ADMs here, but sometimes i'll need to delete some posts. I'll ask for the player who posted to delete it if necessary, but if he/she refuse, i'll need someone with power to do it for me.

*In a far away region in the pokémon world, a young man trains under the giant trees of the Mother Forest. His teacher is an old man that found him in the woods when he was running away from his adopted parents. After an year of training, the young man already know almost all the stuff that the old man had to teach about survival in the forest and the little he knew about pokémon. A knowledge enough to help this young man to survive on his own and capture a partner pokémon in a hidden lake far away from any civilization. The frog pokémon called Froakie now helps the young man in his training. Two months after he united forces with the water pokémon, the old man, once his teacher, told him about a foresight he got. The young man's twin sister that was separed from him years ago is next to arrive in this vast region and now its the chance to reunite with his real family. Excited with the foresight, the young man started his jorney to find his twin sister, going to the west knowing only that she will come in a giant bird. The young man Lodern now travels with Froakie to the city far to west*

*Seiryuu's grandfather challenged the young girl who rebels againts her family's traditions. A smart girl from a strong family of dragon tamers who wanted to train other types, now travels to a far far region to the east with her uncle by plane. The long travel took around 24 hours with 2 stops in the way but they finally arrive in the vast region where her adventure is about to beggin. From the window of the plane, Seiryuu saw some bird pokémon that she never knew and some others after landing, walking with the people from the airport. Her uncle is also new in this land so he hired a guide to find an hotel and tell a little more about this place. The guide told the newcomers about a far away island that people say that is the home of the dragons. He also told them that this vast region have 18 gyms, one of each type and to be carefull about gangsters that dress like military men and call themselfs the Team Arsenal. The city where Seiryuu and her uncle arrived is called (( i don't remember XD )) and its one of the two cities of this region that have an airport. There are other 3 cities next this one. The one to the northwest is called "The Rock Town" because its where is the greater archaeological site in all region. To the northeast, travelling trough the vast Mother Forest, is the "Begginers City", home of the renomed Pokémon Academy that teach young trainers from all the region. Going to the southeast there is a town where one of the Powerplants of this region is located. The guide also tells that the Mother Forest is called this way because it is incredible huge, covering almost 40% of the mainland of this region with it's great biodiversity even after some car roads was build trough it. After so much information, Seiryuu's uncle decided to travel to the Dragon Island and leave the young girl to travel alone and find her own way to aknowledge her grandfather's respect. So, togheter with her loyal Charmander, she started her jorney for glory.*

The young ninja got a very rare pokémon that was trained with some special tricks with him and started his jorney to search for new masters. Now, Daisuke walks alone with his pokémon, looking to find other pokéjutsu masters and learn new techniques.*

*looks map* Hm.. I'm so interested about this Rock Town.. An archaeological site must be quite interesting.. Though I think it'd be better if I went first through the Mother Forest until I reach the Beginner's City, to learn the things about being a trainer, since I'm a beginner.. But I'm so lazy to go there.. Seeing some fossils seems to be so nicer.. So.. Yeah.. I need to resist the temptations and learn things first, to become better and better. *The young ninja travels trough the forest taking the southwest direction, trying to reach the Mother Forest's center. Using survival skills, he tries to follow the stars and feed on fruits that he could find in the way. For now, Daisuke is avoiding fights with wild pokémons and he'll only engage in combat in self-defense. As for trainers, Daisuke might be interested in a challenge to test his combat skills if they accept his style of battle. Taking some time for morning exercises and training, his travel may slowdown a little bit, even when he can move like a monkey around the trees*

It's almost sad leaving it behind." the youth stops and looks at the Lure Ball that contained his ally. "But we have to keep moving forward, other wise all we been through would be for nothing. Right partner?" the trainer smirks, unable to contain his excitement of meeting new challenges and making new friends.

"We used to be helpless, but now we can use our strength to protect others who haven't found theirs. This is our journey and no matter what happens we will never give up, we WILL change this world and find my sister!" with new found strength and a fire lit in his chest. The trainer began to sprint towards the city where whatever lies in wait for him.

*Smaug the Charmander high fives and smiles as it crys* "CHAAAAR!" *It points one of it's little finger to the trees far away from the city and shakes on Seiryiuu's shoulder*
*Her uncle, disguised, leave her to the jorney ahead praying for her safety as the girl travels to the Great Mother Forest with her partner. Walking down the route, Seiryuu reach the forest in about 15 minutes and as she travels inside, she can see the trees are slowing becoming bigger and bigger, but the route goes on. The time goes on as the girl continue her jorney, seeing some forest pokémons on the tree branches, around bushes and sometimes flying, and them, she start to hear something that sounds like a "quarrel" between pokémons. It sounds like: "TontoncoNE! PIPIIIIPHO!!!". As Seiryuu approaches to see whats happening, it looks like a "canebreak" of cotton balls with leafs on it's sides and another "canebreak" of pink little ones with leafs on it's heads are fighting for territory. They are not in a battle yet, but one of each, that may be there leaders, are "talking" in the middle of those "canebreaks" and no one of them saw Seiryuu yet*

*Jump after jump, the skillful kid make his way into the forest. In a break to rest, he finds a little lake that forms after the water coming from a small cave. Daisuke can see some pokémons around killing there thirst as others play in the clear water peacefully. One of them is playfull, spitting jets of water on the others, but a bigger one looks not in the moody to play and throw the playfull turtle out of the lake after a fling of it's tail. Besides that, Daisuke is thirst too, his waterskin is empty and that lightblue turtle pokémon could be a master of Suiton jutsus like the "Mizu deppo no jutsu" that Daisuke's former master once showed him as one of the basic water pokejutsus. The young ninja is still concealed by the leafs of a bush*

*Lodern can see Froakie smiling inside the Lure ball as he talks, but the Great Mother Forest is way larger them he could expect and out or the route, is dangerous and hard to travel due to nature obstacles such as huge tree roots, spiky bushes and carnivorous pokémons lurking around. But the brave Masked Hero have no fear as he keep following his heroic instict to reach a city. In his way, the fate calls the hero for his first heroic act as he see two purple snake-like pokémons threatening a brown small lizard-like one that wears a skull as a helm and holds a bone as a weapon, trying to defend himself alone againts the coward snakes. Could it be destiny to find a possible suitable Masked Sidekick?*

" When he suddenly hears the noises of a battle. Moving slowly through the shadows, Shin commands his pokemon to climb the rest of the cliff and try to position behind the eyesight of the trainer and the pokemon obbeying him and wait for his signal to stop the bird pokemon, as himself try to annalize the power of this coward bastard. Shin starts to get angry, but one of the little things that he learned in that damn place was to put your reason before your emotions.. " Don't get distracted, you must focus " He thinks. Waitting he stays *

Besides that, Daisuke is thirst too, his waterskin is empty and that lightblue turtle pokémon could be a master of Suiton jutsus like the "Mizu deppo no jutsu" that Daisuke's former master once showed him as one of the basic water pokejutsus. The young ninja is still concealed by the leafs of a bush*

*From the bush, Daisuke executes some pokéjutsu hand seals, them whisper:* "Ninpou, Enmaku no jutsu" *Them, he put a hand in front of his mouth and looks like he is blowing a SMOKESCREEN from under his mask to cover the blue turtle's field of vision, making sure to remember exatly where is the little creature in the black smoke. Taking advantage of his training and his technique, Daisuke come out from the bush moving in silence, try to grab the turtle pokémon's tail and pull it as fast as he can, carring it to the bushes where the other pokémon from the lake can't see them.*

*Smaug the Charmander high fives and smiles as it crys* "CHAAAAR!" *It points one of it's little finger to the trees far away from the city and shakes on Seiryiuu's shoulder*
*Her uncle, disguised, leave her to the jorney ahead praying for her safety as the girl travels to the Great Mother Forest with her partner. Walking down the route, Seiryuu reach the forest in about 15 minutes and as she travels inside, she can see the trees are slowing becoming bigger and bigger, but the route goes on. The time goes on as the girl continue her jorney, seeing some forest pokémons on the tree branches, around bushes and sometimes flying, and them, she start to hear something that sounds like a "quarrel" between pokémons. It sounds like: "TontoncoNE! PIPIIIIPHO!!!". As Seiryuu approaches to see whats happening, it looks like a "canebreak" of cotton balls with leafs on it's sides and another "canebreak" of pink little ones with leafs on it's heads are fighting for territory. They are not in a battle yet, but one of each, that may be there leaders, are "talking" in the middle of those "canebreaks" and no one of them saw Seiryuu yet*

What are those things? I don't remember seeing something like those before.. But they seem to be Grass types by their look. *sneaks and peeks on trying not to be noticed* It'd be better if they didn't notice us.. I just don't want them to start "killing" each other - but I think it's nature following the course. Eh..
