Food that you eat not the dead poster food. Any food story is good be it creepy, nasty, funny, delicious, you name it. Just no food porn please.

I have a whole bunch but I'll start with a nasty one that creeps a lot of people out.

Ok so one day I was helping my dad move and I got hungry and went looking for some food. All I could find was a burrito that was in my bag which I left in the sun all day and the burrito had been in there a good solid week. I was REALLY hungry. I microwaved it for a minute. I could smell the mold there was black specs all along the inside mostly on the meat. So I took a bite. It was bad. Kind off. I could taste poison or acid or something. I knew it was bad. I finished eating it. I didn't get sick.

One time in 2nd grade I was really upset over something so I had a plan to get out of school early using chocolate milk, like I had everyone I know collaborate and get an extra little carton of chocolate milk and give it to me, so during lunch I just sat there drinking chocolate milk nonstop, and there was a line of kids all coming and going to hand me cartons and I was drinking so much so fast, right around the time lunch was over I just walked into the hall and puked everywhere.

It worked and I got sent home early too.

Having worked as a cook for more than a few years you tend to get sick of the regular restaurant menu items pretty quickly and start fucking around with whatever you can put together.

Only problem is when the boss is around, you make something tasty and he wants to put it on the menu, like a grill chicken sandwich where the chicken was tossed in sauteed spinach and prosciutto, all laying on a garlic bread bun. bastard stuck it as a special and it got so popular that it ended up being added to our main menu as a specialty.

I here that. Only instead of a chicken sandwich it was a calzone. And calamari. And egg salad. Although as bad as we were for it, the boss was always the worst. Making delicious stuff and going around getting us all to eat some, and then acting like he had no ideas whenever a new menu needed to be done.

I've yet to be in a line of work where you can meet so many infuriating people that are also "My brother from another mother" bro tier.

Like, if I need money, get stuck somewhere with a broken car, need to hide a body, etc. I will call one of those guys first cause I KNOW they got my back regardless of the situation, even if I stopped working with them years ago.

I cooked a batch of French toast yesterday. They tasted pretty good for a first try, but now the kitchen smells of that intoxicating cinnamon-nutmeg-vanilla-milk smell.

me and an old buddy of mine, at about 2AM in the morning went out looking for food. most resturaunts were closed so we went to the wallmart

THE SAMMICH

Now, what the sammich is, is you go to the bakery and you grab one of those giant loaves of garlic bread. Then go to the deli and grab something like 3-4 packages of artisan type cheeses, you know, provolone, mozzarella, sharp cheddar, all that good stuff. Then grab at least two packages of ham and turkey. Take home, put all that together, cut in half, and bake for about a half hour.

I am guessing each half of that was something like 8-10 thousand calories. but it was ten thousand calories of pure divine goodness.

For max calorie intake. I had 8 burritos for breakfast ~8,000 calories or more. plus 2-4 bowls of cereal, a pizza for lunch and steak for dinner. This was some years ago though.

I used to make 8 burritoes every 1-2 weeks.

Not sure if you were responding to burritos or the sammich, but in the sammich's case, one of the best parts was by baking the garlic bread, the meat got hot and tender. So each bite was garlicky, buttery, and filled with tasty meat, and of course, each and every bite practically oozed with half melted cheese. Keeping in mind each half of the sammich individually had 1.5 to 2 entire packages of cheese stuffed in it.
