I made some corned beef and cabbage! My mother told me to use Guinness for the bath and it ended up tasting pretty good. Though I probably shouldn't have made it such a big bath.
I have a lot of leftovers though for sandwiches (in FL I found a sandwich called the New York Steamer or NY Corned Beef which is a steamed sub with Corned Beef and Pastrami with melted provolone and its great so I'll try making one of those

When I was a kid, me and my brother called my mom's cabbage stew "dog's vomit". Not because it tasted it (it was good actually), but because it looked like it.
Actually, we still call cabbage stew that. Very appetizing~
Never crossed my mind but now you mention it, it does look like a vomit. I was trying to reduce water as much as I could from it. Even knowing that now, I'll eat it just fine if I had it again.

The first dish I made myself, "Cake Soup" (Bánh Canh in Vietnamese)
Hm, I really could use an expanse on my recipes.
My first few dishes were cooked salmon and pasta with sauce. One of my favorite things to do is experiment with different pasta sauces. I've made alfredo with milk, cream, salt and the like. One of my favorites is this:
Cook some veggies in a large pan. Usually I choose onions, red peppers and if I have spinach I cut it up and throw it in. 1 tbs of diced garlic, stir and do so occasionally for five minutes. After that, pour in a can of crushed tomatoes, stir. Then sprinkle salt, pepper, a hint of red pepper flakes and lower to simmer for twenty minutes. Keep on stirring occasionally and time it together with some pasta if you have to.
Sometimes it's mushrooms, carrots, or celery. Go wild. I love cooking, don't think I'm stopping anytime soon.
