It's all about Shaka, baby. Best part of this series up until now (and they could have doubled down with Fafnir vs DM... tsk). He hasn't lost his bad habits of arrogance, uh... but at least he learnt something since. Something that ties directly back to the 12 Houses arc: you cannot call yourself a god if you don't have piety in your heart. Shaka has since realized this, and that's why he pwns Balder.
Speaking of which, all this time calling him a god when he's just priviledged. Andreas pls, Tanathos&Hypnos level or nothign. And in fact, for how long does the pretty boy hold up?...
The moment DM appeared you know Fafnir is in for a treat. But dammit, they could have done somethign more with it! I mean the parallels between Shiryu vs DM and DM vs Fafnir are there! You did good with Shaka vs Balder, why wasting the chance? Passing grade, but not anything more... what a waste. This series, man...
And then there's the issue of quality. They sunk all the money for the episode into a couple of frames of Balder screaming and a close-up of Fafnir. They tried to imitate the style of the old series and failed. Not to mention the little valkirye-dolls around Balder. At least it was funny.
And in the next episode? The preview doens't even try to insinuate Sigmund will be much of a threat to Saga, LOL.
