I actually loved Fate/Unlimited Codes. The arcade/1 player mode added new scenes that weren't there in the original material. So if you had questions or wondered about one part of the story, those arcade scenes helped fill some of them in.
By the time I found out about the game though it was way too old for there to be anyone else to play it with.

Archer wins the most points for me just because I really dig his whole persona, the guy's smugness won me over. Although I have to say that the Caster servant from the promotional images looks pretty enticing. Yeah F/UC is pretty broken, I remember playing it with friends before and everyone just kept choosing either Lancer or Gil because they seemed to be the most cheap ones.

As a tired misc thought, are they going to do that "everything pauses and goes blue" thing for all NPs? They did it with both Gae Bolg and Caladbolg.
Caladbolg was just a slow-down. The pause-and-reverse thing was probably just for GB, what with its effect and all.
