Yeah, MAc got it pretty much spot on.

You grind for a day to maybe get one new card you'll possibly use someday. The other four in the pack are completely useless, or you have them already, so you've gotta turn them into fust, which is something like 2% of a card you'd wanna use, or 0.0002% of a card you'd really wanna use.

They are being kinda tsuntsun about the payment model. Especially since they said they'd prefer not to do cosmetics which makes me really worried if it's going to be F2P

It's slowly dawning on companies that locust-style whale mining isn't all that smart. Especially if it causes people to drop your game before they even haul enough whales in to sustain themselves.

Which is why some f2p games already have premium acc models where you just drop full game price and get all of the (non cosmetic) stuff, like in Smite.

If you're not willing to spend money on it then look up a cheap Zoolock deck. Probably won't hit Legendary rank without smashing your head against the wall the entire season but should still be able to get sub rank 10.
