Refractions (madoka magica) - No matter how one would attempt to keep things the same as they used to be, the bending of a "law" would inevitable cause changes in the direction of their world, and that in turn would refract back to the their very lives, in ways that she never expected.
Reversed Connections (BRS) - reworked the structure and a mix of anime/OVA, has the Otherworld selves replace their human counterpart in the real world instead of the normals taking control of the Otherworld characters.

otherwise, I would have went on a necromancy streak after being gone for nearly a year to the other fanfics I followed like prismatic chaos, what if (almost) everyone is shirou's servant, the loli grail war, etc.

Was it ever different? I've never heard of any forum with actual stories being welcoming of necroing.
not actually welcomed but it wasnt very much policed and did happen from time to time, and then it eventually went on and on due to derails/discussions.
and it somewhat helped others know about the fics that were necroed so it wasnt quite as negative before...
anyway, I guess il stop here.

It's still not "policed", people just don't take kindly to utterly pointless necroing of year-old stories that they think might actually be a new chapter....
It's funny because when people complain about necros and then the person who did it responds to the complaints it just keeps the necro going.
What I'm saying is that it's probably a good idea to stop talking about necros :V
To be fair, once someone has necroed the thread, it really doesn't matter all that much if people keep on about it. The damage has already been done....
