He doesn't. It's going on three years since he got the boot, so he is irrelevant. If I disagree with a nomination, it'd be because of the person's current behavior. Also, we haven't come to a decision, that was all opinions.
And even then, if I got overruled on the decision, it's not like I would veto that. Hell, I wasn't on the best terms with the current team when they started out, since we all nominated our own picks and then discussed them. But then we ended up fine. Siriel and mAc could get it yet. Who knows.
The same can be said of this situation. My personal feelings and the personal feelings of everyone else don't really factor into it much, since we will discuss it as a team. I'm pretty sure I said as much in the thread when we discussed candidates.
