Just watched The Death of Stalin. I was afraid my complete lack of knowledge about Russian history would make it hard to understand, but it didn't hurt my enjoyment at all.
I have to say, I really love this style of morbid humour.

True, they just refilmed the epilogue, and the scene could easily be interpreted as just setting up a regular sequel.

So Murder on the Orient Express was really good. I'm glad the trailers were wrong and it was a proper murder mystery rather than an action thriller. Branagh is a great Poirot. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys mysteries, and anyone who knows how it ends (which I've found is actually rather small number despite it being on the most popular mystery stories) can still enjoy the great movie making on display.

Other symbols are transparent to the point of invisibility at their core but slathered with so much laughter as frosting that they might escape cursory notice
Remember, just because they have a degree in literature doesn't mean they know anything about producing or interpreting words.

That section stood out to me as kind of pretentious but I don’t think I realized what an absurd sentence that is until now

Wow that is not a good one

Saw it last night. It was actually pretty good. Branagh was excellent, but I do think some of the other cast was somewhat underused (though perhaps understandably considering the size of the cast)

I think I actually had heard of the ending but hadn't made the connection that it was this story (Murder on the Orient Express) which had that ending. I didn't really put it together until the end.

Chinese Billionaire's Jack Ma made a Vanity Project where he beats in a Kung Fu Fight all the big names of Chinese Action Cinema, like Donnie Yen, Wu Jing & Jet Li. Also featuring Tony Jaa and Sumo legend Asashoryu.

Funnily enough, for an 80 year old story no one seems to know the outcome, even with it being one of the most famous mystery novels ever written, and also having an Oscar winning adaptation in the 70's. I asked literally everyone I knew and no one other than my best friend had any idea.

Seriously? That's one of Christie's best books! It's actually my favourite.

I have never read Agatha Christie despite loving mysteries (weird, I know), so for those that have read it and watched the movie: do you think I can just go see it or should I take the time to read the book before watching it?

I should mention that if I do watch the movie I'll probably never read the book.

Read the book. The movie is shiny and clearly has budget and good production values but it isn't some end-all perfect adaptation.

It was nice to look at but I preferred the 70s movie and even the CSI adaptation of it better.

The insidious Korean takeover of Western culture, I knew it was true.
