Not directly. But having the dude who espouses it all get killed because he's literally just a fragmented second personality makes it reasonably clear to anyone who doesn't need to be spoonfed. That path lies madness and ultimately death and destruction.

Obviously the exchange of capital denigrates their status as art, but practicality does demand resources to live and create, and large scale visions such as major motion pictures can require an alliance with less artistically inclined individuals and organizations.
