The movie itself was pretty OK, my only major complain being the very distracting plot hole of "how the fuck did they manage not to notice the date difference?"

I figured it was for the same reason as to why

It felt like the movie didn't really explain that well because it makes the two look like they're morons with the attention span of a flea.

but when they talk about how it's like they are dreaming, it finally hit me when I recalled a dream of my own. It was vivid in the few seconds after waking up, but afterwards I can recall nothing but the fact I had a dream.

I guess the movie wouldn't have that twist if they did figure it out.

I also decided to go "eh, magic/dreams/whatever" and not worry. I think that's what the audience was supposed to do.

I want to see it a second time, because I suspect there's a lot of foreshadowing, if not quite lampshading, prior to the big reveal.

New trailer for the Diamond Is Unbreakable movie came out. Looks pretty cool, though kind of puzzling on the lack of visible Stands. Guess they're saving those for the full release...

I thought the first one's story was better tied up, but I did like how this one explored the emotional ties between the characters. I wish we had had at least some glimpses of this movie's Yondu, though, because the first movie's Yondu has a hard time meshing with this one.

It was always there, it was plainly obvious in G1 that he liked Peter a lot and was never serious about harming him.

Eh, sort of. He clearly had a soft spot for Peter, but I'd say it's VERY arguable whether that showed any paternal feelings.

Circle was p disappointing, but still somewhat enjoyable

The new King Arthur movie is meh. There are some really good Guy Ritchie momenst and scenes, but also plenty of god awful generic fantasy CGI-fest bits. And a chase scene in the middle of the movie that is so terribly shot it's astounding. Right smack dab in the middle of two great character scenes, too.

Also King Arthur is now Star Platinum. Not quite The World, but pretty close.

Don't pay money for it, but if you see it somewhere for free give it a watch for novelty's sake.

It's weird how if you give Ritchie a limited budget he makes great things, a decent budget gets you good ones, and a huge one gets you crap.

He's too "style over substance" for my usual tastes, but I was really curious to see how he'll do Arthurian mythos.
