I've been an EMT a little longer though, the game job was always a part time thing

I'll be moving up soon hopefully! Unfortunately this is one of the worst paid areas to be an EMT-Basic.
I'm currently experiencing an existential crisis over the fact that "barrier" sounds so much more natural in conversation than "bounded field" but makes infodumps sound terrible, while "bounded field" flows like gravel out of people's mouths but makes infodumps so much easier to understand.

Why can't English have a single word for "a space delimited by some sort of boundary" that sounds as snappy as kekkai

And I'm not using fucking "field" Leo don't even say it it makes people sound stupid.
How about
Boundary?
go with

Bounded domain.
Boundomain.
(I'm this close to going full Eoten and replacing everything with Siimaabandha...)
Yeah mcjon I had the exact same thoughts re: barrier vs bounded field
I just started editing, so the final 's still up in the air.
Both of you better coordinate so that you both pick different ones to go with for maximum confusion.

You're welcome. (After all this I'm probably just going to stick with barrier since it works well enough in most casual contexts and in technical explanations the explanation itself gets across the fact that it's being used a little differently than usual.)

Bounded Barrier is how we initally actually tl'ed it years ago believe it or not. Someone made it Bounded Field (either mm, arai, or just general transition like how everyone went from saying Chokushi no Magan [yes we used to actually only call it that and were looked at as a weirdo if you used anything else] > MEoDP).
