You know, the problem with synonyms is that it's hard to tell them apart as people use them interchangeably. The proper way to differenciate them is to look for sentences in which one of them can be used but not the other, or to look for contexts in which one of them is more common. Lastly, you use pages such as this one that try to explain the differences between synonyms.
I've been looking through the tatoeba and webblio example sentences for 魔術 to see in which contexts they are used, and I mentioned to him a few of the ones that stood out and where it makes sense to translate the word as "birlibirloque" (in english I guess you can say "magic trick", but doesn't fit so well).
You could just call maryoku "mana", od "internal mana" and mana "external mana". Easy to understand and you can use mana all you want.

In Magic: The Gathering, the translators translate 魔力 as "Force", lol. I was personally looking for manaforce, but it seems they translate that as マナ力.

I think power, energy and force are all fine. I mean, power sounds more like generic fantasy, energy sounds more like generic scifi and force sounds more like Star Wars.
Of those three I think I like "power" the most. Circulating power through your magic circuit. Power which comes from nature (Mana) or the self (Od). You're running out of power, Saber. Power that flows through the leylines. They all sound natural.
don't quote me on this
Force is appropriate to EXTRA because Star Wars is all about space samurai-wizards anyway.

Updated the first post with stuff I am working on so you won't need to look through a thread to ask.
I got distracted and did some a bit of Fate/strange Fake instead, lol
Also, Hawkeye is commissioning translations of the image portion of Fate/GUDAGUDA Order. That accounts for about 40% of the text in each chapter.
Links will be up soon in the first post.
Honestly? When you or someone else pays me to do it.
Koha-Ace is fun to read, but not terribly lore-ful so I don't feel that compelled to do it. Plus Keikenchi throws in ENDLESS MEMES so actually a bunch of time/work to explain all the jokes in English. Which makes them less funny anyway.
And as I mentioned with Gudao, a fair portion (though not nearly as much as Gudao, usually) of each chapter is text-only, off-panel.
But hey, there's probably someone on here willing to do it for free, just ask around.

You'll get your Koha-Ace, at the cost of turning an honest, hardworking translator into a common m e m e b o y. Is it really worth it?
Just commission it to the Chinese, it's the only way to keep this place pure.
Hey everyone.
"bounded field" or "barrier" or something else? ("ward"?)
Doesn't matter to me, you decide.
