This whole multiple quirk thing should've never been introduced.
Deku was far more interesting as a one-trick pony that had to figure out how to use his one trick to get to a solution.
This was a pretty sparse chapter tbh. The Gear thing rly is whatever for me, could've worked maybe in a different set of circumstances, who knows.

I'm just so disappointed with how this manga has been turning out...

Yeah, Black Whip was acceptable at the time, but it heralded the onset of everything going to crap. Once Deku really was using multiple quirks it was basically unsalvageable.

And then the author made it even worse with the current Shigaraki/AFO, who somehow even with all of his quirks turned off still has the ability to do things that should require quirks, and is (by his own statement when tanking Sun Eater's attack) more powerful than All Might in his prime. And again, that's with all of his quirks turned off.

I almost expected him to go to Gear 5 and starts using toon force on Shiggy to liberate the world from villains there for a moment lol.

But yeah it is a Speed-altering quirk, not too...surprising. But I guess if it can work then it can. I don't really mind the multi-Quirk thing since it also fits with OfA sharing between each other, but I am bothered by the lack of interesting things coming from it. Pretty much like half of them are just to enhance Deku's power more that I feel like it could have been written by him further mastering his body and OfA, like you can incorporate all such effects and result of those boosters into OfA mastery and going beyond its limits, than having those Quirks. If you went out to allow him to use multiple Quirks in the first place, why not make them more varied and interesting to add spices to the fight (Black Whip was like the only one that really diversified his powers a lot), they don't even need to be stupidly OP to the point it outshines his unga bunga smash fighting style. And if you allow him to use multiple Quirks but not giving him a lot of more variety, then why let him use multiple Quirks in the first place. It feels like lack of future planning.
