I see Gennai took a page out of Shinji's book.
The Himekawa backstory was pretty interesting though... Shame she's gone Yandere over Bakumon.
Tbh I didn't really care for the rebonding plot between Sora and Piyomon, felt kinda contrived if you ask me.
They also didn't take full advantage of the fact they had mismatched Digimon and partners for a while, the only good one was between Taichi and Gabumon.
Also not enough Mimi.
But good plot progression. So it kinda balances out.
