Hahaha, we had that long before we had any mods at all. It takes about ten seconds in the console. I'm not sure anyone even bothered to create a restriction-removing mod until we got tweak collations like Baldurdash, because it was actually less convenient.
I should take a look and see when Baldurdash first released (pre-WeiDU!) and what was in it. I know I still have the page bookmarked from before the G3 pack existed.

I'm going with canon romance options, no gay mods. For this playthrough I'm going for Rasaad and if I feel like doing an evil run, I'm romancing Hexxat.

I'm a BG noob, all I've heard about EE is that it's a remake so I assumed it was made by the same devs as more an improvement to the game similar to Realta Nua.

Nah, Beamdog got set up by a couple of ex-BioWare people basically to do a cashgrab off an HD update. Oster was part of the founding team, but left before the BG games, and Tofer was a programming goon for BGI and SoA. Their connexions and contributions to the original version of the series (especially its writing) are technically extant, but minimal.

Ahahaha, I just looked up the EE credits to make sure they hadn't brought anyone else from the actual original writing team on board (no) and now I know all the real names of a significant percentage of the old mod community. That's weird​.
