So I've been playing this recently...

So like, I'm playing through "Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice" at the moment, and am at the fourth case right now which invovles the Japanese art of Rakugo (which coincidentally reminded me of the Rakugo anime in my backlog and is why I'm watching that right now), anyways they're really pushing the whole "Japanifornia" thing thin here.

It made me laugh when I heard the joke "The real victim of this case was the localisation".

I finally finished Tokyo Xanadu Ex+. Damn does that game not know how to fucking end. Here's the Final Boss. No wait, He's the Real Final Boss. Oops, here's the Real Real Final Boss. Thought you were done after beating God? Nope, here's the Real Real Real Final Boss. And every single one of the comes with a slew of dungeons you need to beat in order to get to the Bosses final extra long dungeon (Except Boss 3/4 who goes right into an arena fight without final dungeon shenanigans).

The story, setting and characters are all good, as seems to be the norm for Falcom games, but the combat is so uninteresting that it feels like a chore to go through the gameplay sections.

Finished "Super Robot Wars: V" and for my first SRW game it was very enjoyable.

I'll admit it, the ending which focused on Yamato made me tear up a little like always. T_T

So I started Playing Nier: Automatic Tomatoes. What the hell is this game? I've seen plenty of stuff on the original game, so the 2d to 3d transitions, action levels to bullet hell shmups is expected. But some of these levels just have me asking "What the fuck am I seeing?". Why can I fail some escort missions and the missions over, but others let me retry them as much as I like?

It's really strange. Excellent. But strange.

Because sometimes you cannot Continue, but other times you can.

I got the first ending of Automata but I'm really staring to dislike my second playthrough, Since the fighting is distinctly degraded in that one. Hopefully I can rush through it.

Yeah, just hack your way through the B route. Also, for when you have to fight, get him a spear and hold the attack button to toss it through enemies.

Just finished Route A of Nier. Man those later bosses are chumps when you have all the health items on and make a habit of murdering everything that looks at you funny in the overworld. I think the last boss got me down to 40% at the most and that was after all that bullshit at the end happens. His partner only got to finish his evil monologue because I wanted to hear it, and just shot him from a distance for the majority of the fight. Once it was done it took less than a minute to beat.

It's jarring going from 2B's dual weapons to 9S's one weapon and hack. I do like the bullet hell opening sequence though. I just wish the hacking had the same set of options for it and wasn't just a straight twin stick shooter.

Finally got all 5 of the main endings of Automata. Really enjoyed it. I'll delete my save file after I 100% the game at some point. Also really looking forward to playing Yakuza 0 which will unlock today.

Man, I feel pity for anyone who got interested in either Cross Ange or Reconguista from this game since it makes those series look really intriguing funnily enough.

Picked up Cave Story again after my old save file went poof, maybe this time I'll git gud enough to reach the true ending instead of dying right after my weapon levels get erased.

I stopped Cave Story after I was spoiled into realising you could've saved that one character and then forgot where I was and where I was heading. I'm bad at metroidvania pathfinding.

Got bored of FEH so i was searching for another gacha and ended up playing SinoAlice for the last few days

Gameplay is just soso but art and music are great. The sad part is that it seems like the community for this game is very small

Finished Nier Automata route C and decided to do a bunch of clean up stuff. Was at that part in the factory with the presses and missed a jump, and then the game wants me to re-do the first mission again to get to a save point. I'm not grinding through that again, even with all the scene skipping and being way to overpowered for the enemies, it's so tedious.
