You know, if you ever decide to go all in with an adventuring/ruins exploring fic completely made up of stuff like this, I'd totally be down with that.
That said, I will go with B and 1. Maximizing survival.

B and 2.
Part of the reason for this fic is answering a request someone made in passing months ago, so I must limit the subject a bit. Even though the person in question might not remember the request or read the fic.
There might be opportunities for more dungeon crawling later in the story though, choices depending.
Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
To hasten the Divine's return.
O piteous Wanderer.
B - If nothing else, a Magus has an abundance of patience. If we're going so far to do this under our brother's nose, we might as well do it properly. The only thing worse than defying orders is defying orders in a haphazard way and coming out with nothing to show for it.
2 - These people are not our friends; they are professionals, and this is nothing more than a job. Sharing a few drinks won't suddenly cause one of them to take a bullet for us. We have much more important things to do than waste time on near-useless socializing. Logan will keep them in line, and our position as a medic will suffice to keep our importance high. Dr. Simone, meanwhile, has important information we should be extracting. That is what we'll focus on.
B - I don't think it's desirable that we lose all our goonies and Brogan from just charging in, and I'd rather not we blow everything up either.
2 - We haven't seen/talked to Doctor Simone so far, so I think we should get a feel for her. Brogan and the goonies are pros, they don't particularly need us going mother hen about them, but the Doctor is pretty vital to the operation.
A and 1, and that's totally not just because I'm a contrarian by nature.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
My initial instinct was B and 2, but I was hoping someone would try to argue everyone out of it.
Very well. B and 2.
He never sleeps. He never dies.
Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
B-2 it is, thanks everyone who voted.
