Exactly, the worst situation we've ever had barely still lasted over a month. There is no reason to fear delays so long as things are taken care of, and that's why I've been finding people willing to act as a backup in case things do go south.

Not to be rude towards you or the other judges but you do realize how bad it looks when judging is still technically ongoing right?
Anyways this isn't the place for negativity like that let's focus on how awesome this contest will be!
I'll try to restrain from being overly harsh, but I have been known to write essays on the back of my peers' essays to critique what's wrong with them.
And I can be kinda picky.

I apologize for my wording and neither knowing you personally other than IRC from a year or 2 ago.
I just have concerns with this contest in general, but no need to take it out on the poor judges like a terrible person.
It must look truly awful when people haven't received their prizes for, is it 3 years, then, mustn't it?
Perhaps my previous comment was a bit harsh, I didn't mean to offend anyone I was just trying to keep the mood light while reassuring that I will do everything in my power to make sure this goes off with as little issues as possible.
I know everyone has circumstances and can't get things out on time, hey I've been hosting this long enough to know what it's like when judges don't turn things out or treat it like a joke. (Ahem, Frantic.)
I know I haven't always been the most reliable host, and last year was no exception to that. But I'm figuring things out. Heck, half the reason I started writing larger stories was in preparation for this. And besides, hosting this contest has been a lot of fun for both myself and I hope most everyone else who experienced it.
As for prizes, I won't lie, I relied far too much on other people's kindness and that hit hard when they dried up. That's why I hope to make up for it this year with far better options.
Oh and as a side note, if anyone is missing their prizes please contact me I'd be happy to sort those issues out.

I'm honestly wondering why everyone seems cool with me, as the only fanfiction I have written in my entire life was terrible terrible DBZ fanfiction from my teenage years, and I still wince when I recall it.
Then again, I've read enough of the stuff since then to gain what I hope is a pretty good grasp of the subject, and I've gotten a pretty good grounding in Nasu-lore. I've also been reading over the judging in the previous fanfiction contests, so I'm somewhat confident in my ability to go through and give verdicts on the entries that come in.

Unlikely Pairings stick out and we don't have something that accommodates the stuff we used to have in Drama before.
