I love how people are here discussing if spongebob is 'actually, imo' overrated in response to posts paying respects to the creator, keep it up boys.

Out of all YA, it's probably a billion times better than the crap surrounding it, even if Tris needs to stop being nonchalant about stuff she should be emotional about.
Besides, you're comparing it to SpongeBob, for crying out loud!
Also, I am not the only one who thinks new SpongeBob has been far worse than almost anything done at the start when the creator had a lot more input.
I watched it as early as four. With everything we see on TV today, I am surprised at how tame it was. I think Phineas and Ferb went further.
It wasn't when it was Hillenburg's own child. It is now not as good because he kind of left the story to rot.
No dude, I've read Divergent and it's unironically worse than Twilight. Yes, I've read that too.

The fuck is Divergent?
quotes
Haven't read them myself but as I understand it:
In a dystopian future where every character has a single personality trait. People live in dorms based on which trait they have.
If you display more than a single personality trait you are murdered by the government.
It's like the Hunger Games with an even more stupid evil government and even more bland and uninteresting cast.
I think Japan is finally going through with a new aircraft carrier that they’re actually gonna call it one?

That makes me think of a dystopian novel of the "everyone is divided into social castes" mold where the various classes are literally based on the Harry Potter houses. It could be justified by saying the society was formed after a big disaster wrecked the world, and some of the only surviving sources of information on the past just so happened to be Buzzfeed quizzes on which Harry Potter house you'd belong to, which thus got treated as holy writ.
Would be pretty funny IMO.
That's impossible. I too have read both and there's no way it's worse...
It's all junk, but so is McDonald's and most people still eat it.
It's essentially the last part alone. By the third book, it's clear even the heroine knows the whole premise is complete and utter tosh, which is exactly why it sounds so retarded: because it is and the guy in charge (David) is aware of this much, but wants to stay in power at any cost.
Associate me with YA since I see no issue with it, but don't imply I dig Buzzfeed. I despise those libtards unless it involves weird articles or quizzes.
This would be the parody version... Essentially Divergent, Vampires Suck style...
If you go in knowing everyone knows the premise is a complete sham in-universe, you'd realize it seems better. Also, still a better love story than Twilight (also known as "for the first time ever, we killed any potential secondary bachelor. NO LOVE TRIANGLES!") since it focuses on a mostly normal relationship. The normal part are why it's boring, but also why it's so well received among detractors of stuff like TMR, THUG and TMI...
*For those not in the circle... The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games and The Mortal Instruments... with the exception of #1, they all suck...
The Mortal Instruments at least feature some witty dialogue and an interesting urban fantasy setting to worldbuild around whenever Clare and her paper thin Author Avatar Clary manage to get their heads out of Jace's sculpted abs for a minute. Definitely the best among the trash mentioned.

In terms of actual news...
"Former US President George HW Bush has died at the age of 94 at home in Houston, Texas."
For someone born in the Twenties, 94 is a really good innings.
"Here's a bangin lil' tune about takin' on The Man!"
(Check out my Super Special Awesome Servant Compendium here)
That setting has translated very poorly into the actual narrative though. Just not being obsessed with someone abs alone makes Divergent better. That and the fact the world building is impressive if you suddenly realize that they essentially turned the US into a fringe science experiment.
But Maze Runner probably wins best trash story, objectively speaking. Divergent also gets carried by the OST like FFXV did...
On other stuff...
