The news of these riots give me Independence Day flashbacks. Every year, right winger thugs (who only avoid being classed as fascists by the virtue of law due to semantics and loopholes) march to take out it on everything they don't like, including homosexuals and anarchists (though, some of those anarchists are not behaving smart either if they wave around Soviet Union flags. But majority of them are just living in their own communities minding their businesses). Though last year they mistook far right wing journalists for those from "media controlled by Jews, Freemasons and Russians". They apologized as soon as it turned out they burned the wrong van.
My favorite part about this all was that the guy from the Freedom Party as they are called in that article said "Once again the jackboots of the SA (socialist antifascists) march through Vienna."

I don't agree with socialists on many things, but I guess rioting against the fascism is the thing I approve.
The worst fascists we have here are like the BNP and they are completely lame and a laughing stock so we're pretty lucky I guess.
We have the FPÖ for which 30% are by no means an unrealistic goal in the next general election.

Ultra right wingers may get from 8 % to 10 % in worst case scenarios, but if the conservative opposition wins the next election the former might be only ones willing to form a coalition with them since conservatists and right wing liberals are too much at each one throats to consider a coalition. Conservatists once did form a coalition with now dead ultra right wing party, they can do it again for the sake of securing power.
