What kinda ironic is that one of policemen killed was muslim. I doubt that Mohammed would've legitimated their actions if he was alive. That's the problem with scripture-interpretation. Another problem is the backlash that all the sane muslims who get held responsible for these peoples actions by ignorant people.

Was it confirmed he was a muslim, last I read he just had some vaguely foreign sounding name without confirmation either way.

Not like you actually need to look very hard to see muslims that risk their life battling terrorism especially when you look in the middle east.

And yeah the rise of PEGIDA and comparable groups is really worrying me. On the bright side: http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/...0KJ0IN20150110

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-30762153

The men who were captured on camera killing a policeman outside the Charlie Hebdo offices were "pretend Muslims", the victim's brother has said.
Ahmed Merabet was one of 17 people who lost their lives during three days of terror on the streets of Paris.
Speaking during a news conference his brother Malek urged people not to avenge his death with further violence and reiterated that Islam was not about "terrorism or madness".
He added: "My brother was Muslim and he was killed by people who pretend to be Muslims. They are terrorists, that's it".

I should not need to explain this.

The NSDAP's maximum share of the parliamentary vote in more or less fair elections was 37% - which, in the space of six months, declined to 33%. Nazi dictatorship came about because NSDAP leadership realized that they were never going to achieve a legitimate majority and had to resort to what was essentially a palace coup.

The Russian Revolution is a fair example of a popular revolution in the February Revolution, but the actual RSFSR was created out of the October Revolution, which was essentially a creation of certain worker's unions, military unions, and professional revolutionaries.

Likewise, the French Revolution was the brainchild of Paris intellectuals.

Yeah good points but BBC news is not the best source for reliable news. They are all equally wrong so you have to get news from everywhere to ply any truth un-properganderised (yes I just made that word up)

Aren't the chants used by anti-muslim protests in germany similar to the ones the nazis used.

Lets watch both and use it to get a slightly more balanced outlook instead of being clouded one way or the other.

I doubt it considering they have to be really good at rebranding themselves to gain any sort of ground over there (with exceptions in the really shitty parts of East Germany). Like calling themselves "Alternative" or "Identitäre".

Aaahh no you don't get a more balanced outlook by including a fucking blatant propaganda feed

Basically BBC is propaganda source and then news papers are then further opinionated upon. I really don't get the point in news papers as their whole point includes twisting the truth. The i is pretty good apparently though.

If you look at every countries news thingies then the things that appear in all of them will at least have some truth. RT is blatant propaganda but BBC is slightly less blatant propaganda (learning how to spell propaganda is fun)

Interestingly, the Daily Mail is the worlds most popular newspaper website.

I guess that does enforce the idea that most people are stupid. Or maybe it's how our society is set up to cause that.
