I heard those reports too. I wouldn't call it jumping the gun though, because as far as I'm concerned an anti-woman attack is just as much an act of terror as one aimed at another religious or ethnic group.

We still don't know his motivations though, just a bunch of background information. And regardless, the point is calling something a terrorist attack right after it happened when we have very little details is stupid.
Fair enough. I think lots of people were so quick to call it a terror attack because he was obviously aping the method of recent Islamic terrorists in Europe.
