    It of course shouldn't be overlooked that legally, describing German unification as an annexation of the DDR by the BRD is correct.

    ^^^Ugh, less than Eltsyn, at least. Anyway, he's not hated much by people (with hardcore communists being an obvious exception). And him acknowledging Germany's unification's pretty much his only decision liked by general public.
