Who birds here? Who actually owns or has had vivid experiences with our feathered dinosaur friends? Share your experiences!

I myself am a bit of an amateur birdwatcher (albeit with low-tier equipment and rudimentary knowledge so don't ask qvestions, komrades), so I kind of have a vested interest in wild birds.

This here's one I took of the scrub jays that constantly loitered in my backyard. I love these little guys, they're smart as a whip, fearless, and a constant source of amusement. Don't know why I didn't upload this sooner.

Absolute favorite bird. Saw an azure-colored one in Thailand and it was absolutely stunning.

The herons here have quite a wide range. It's not uncommon to see them on large, grassy field used for team sports hunting ground squirrels and see others out in the bay, standing on top of floating kelp beds, hunting fish that swim near the surface in the same day.

Recently, a flock of thrushes decided they very much like it here and haven't left for months. It's incredibly soothing to hear their delicate warbles first thing in the morning.

Honestly, my favorite bird is the silkie chicken.

Look at it. Just, look at it. The cuddles would absolutely be worth getting pecked for.

Went to a nature sanctuary to see the starling memerations the other day. They are pretty cool I guess but what I find cooler is this robin flying up to a sign a meter away from me, doing it's thing and ignoring me.

Yes, they're awesome! We have them in a nearby park pond! Those babies last summer: SO FLUFFY!!! <3

How they can see anything, though...?
