I was looking for the episode on Yt, but all I could find was reaction videos all over.
I'm not buying it until I find and watch the ep myself, already fell into that trap in Kalos League (at least it looked amazing though).

Once and always and nevermore.
For 20 years he kept losing so he said fuck it, went to win the kiddy clown league of Alola and retires. Congrats I guess, what a tragic character.
yes that mean anime can kick him and add Red or other MC instead

Considering all the bullshit ways he's lost the championship over the years, can you blame him?
1) Charizard declared unable to fight because he was fucking around (okay, fair enough, his fault for bringing in a Pokemon he couldn't control, but Charizard was fine up to that point).
2) Beaten by a Pokemon from the next region to hype it up
3) Beaten by a fucking MEOWTH
4) Lost to a guy with TWO Legendary Pokemon just casually strolling by the tournament
5) A fair fight he basically threw by getting temporary amnesia of Pokemon types (to be fair, that has been a reoccurring phenomenon)
6) WINS THE FUCKING LEAGUE BUT GETS CUCKED OUT AT THE LAST MOMENT

Enjoyed the first episode of shin pokketo monsuta. Really like the new composer's style, love the new OP. I like Go and Koharu's personalities. Funny to contrast the professor's expressions from the content reanimated from OG vs. how he acts the rest of the episode. He really got sick of Satoshi's shit over those next five years. Found Pikachu's backstory alright, my favorite stuff was Koharu chastising Go for hijacking the lessons.
mfw trying to help come up with a halfway decent title for the next episode
Spoiler:
The full music video of the new Pokemon OP.
"Here's a bangin lil' tune about takin' on The Man!"

Agreed. The new OP is great.
Kinda sucky that galar got the short end of the stick in the anime. For all its massive problems, i think gen 8 has a solid region and great characters, and wouldve deserved an anime of its own.
The new ED for the Pokemon anime.

Interesting...
Rather than pokemon movie #9001, im more interested in this Twilight Wings web anime. I liked the feel of galar, so it being chronicled in an anime is nice after the ”real” anime snubbed it. But most importantly... the staff is kino af. Shingo Yamashita, Shin Ogasawara and Studio Colorido... thats a slam dunk right there.
^ Speaking of, for anyone not aware of what Twilight Wings is...
Pokémon fans who have been exploring the Galar region will soon be able to experience it in a vibrant new way with the release of Pokémon:Twilight Wings, a seven-episode limited animated series. Pokémon: Twilight Wings, which is separate from Pokémon the Series, is set in the Galar region, where Pokémon battles have developed into a cultural sensation.
Over the span of seven episodes, Pokémon:Twilight Wings will show in detail the dreams of Galar's residents, the realities they face, the challenges they must overcome, and the conflicts they must resolve. In addition to these new stories, fans can expect to see a variety of Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region appearing throughout the capsule series. Each episode will be approximately five minutes in length.
Animation will be provided by Studio Colorido, which is known for its warm and welcoming visual designs and dynamic photographic techniques, as seen in the anime film Penguin Highway. The world of Pokémon is evolving as Trainers explore Galar, and this new era will be brought to life in the form of an anime series created by one of the leading animation studios in Japan.
The first episode of Pokémon: Twilight Wings isexpected to premiere on January 15, 2020, on the officialPokémon YouTube channel.
Well, who could have said it, 20 years and at the end we learn that a Pokemon Master...actually doesn't exists and is a concept makeshift by Ash or someone else and Ash only heard it and thought of it as cool.
I really, really enjoyed that. Animation was gorgeous.
