You’re in a pinch. Fate points are your deus ex machina bailout that might not work if you seriously boned yourself.
Rich people don't need luck, they just buy it. Freelancers and researchers know enough that the shouldnt get into situations that would need a fate point anyway, and poor people, dolls and freaks are poor people, dolls and freaks so they don't deserve good luck.
