Honestly my answer would be slightly diffferent were I to answer the question based on moral compass, but since I'm a bitter old lady and also 12, I'm going to answer "burn in hell for making me sit through that flashback twice."

However, he is unable to build. That's why he wants the Grail to build things (of course, even the Grail was unable to do so). If Kiritsugu ended up working for someone who knows both destruction and creation, it could have worked out for him. However, he did not find such a one.
He probably would refuse to believe one of those existed.

He basically spent all his time looking at the worst humanity had to offer and judged all humans based on that.

"You" is used to refer to the person or people that the speaker is addressing and also does ogre-like translations

In real life, sure. Given that this is a world where there is presumed to be a literal Holy Grail that can cure all the worlds problems, I don't know about that.

He actually reaches the damn thing too, it just happens to not be quite as described.

So some people hate Zero...I'm cool with that.

On the subject of Kiritsugu the guy has the best intentions in mind but his methods ensure that someone will always die.

IDK, depends if you use intentions to mean end goal.

He's pretty much the embodiment of "the ends justify the terrible means"

What are the means that are so terrible?

    "He bores me."

Because I more or less share Reiu's opinion and I find him completely and utterly boring in Zero.

I thought Kiritsugu was pretty okay in Stay Night. But then I read Zero and was like "why are you cheating on your wife?" and when the explanation came up I was like "that's not a good enough explanation."
Oh and yeah like Reiu said, that flashback is way too long.
