I live pretty close to where this is going down, the big fire was like ~5 blocks away from my house. I can't say I don't sympathize with the actual protesters, but the rioters were just screwing people over left and right :|

Any damns white folk gave went far away when "protestors" started setting homes for senior citizens on fire and slashing hoses so that firefighters can't do their job.

If you dig a little below the surface, you might find out that a good deal of the 'screwing people left and right' was done by people who came to fight with the protesters. Many of them were drunk, apparently.

My point is that white people in America are all oh so shocked at the damage being done, as if the black people were devils themselves, while conveniently forgetting all the crap these people have to endure on the daily basis.

But I get it; they should all be civilised, docile, toothless, and never do anything bad for you to remotely give a damn about them. Angry black people simply cannot be tolerated.

That is not to say that I condone violence or even promote it. I don't think such acts are gonna help black people in their struggle.
But I won't say that 'my damns have gone' because of these riots. Because equating what is a small part of these protesters doing damage with centuries of systematic oppression, and saying that I can't support black people's struggle because of the riots, would be intellectually dishonest to say the least. More accurately, it'd be racist.

Okay shit talking aside I don't give a shit what your grievance is you don't get to rampage through a major urban population center and in fact law enforcement exists to stop you from doing that.
