That comes later, brother.
Have we started a fire?
[04:55] Lianru: i3uster is actuallly quite cute
Yes, the fire rises.
You appear to be hijacking this thread.
I'm still here.
So six police officers were charged with Freddie Gray's death.
Hopefully this might calm things down

Probably not.
I'm not even holding my breath until then. All it takes is one stupid lawyer to open their mouths without thinking and the city is on fire again.
What needs to be done in this situation is a moderated response.
People should be angry in fact they should be fucking furious but violently lashing out DOES NOT HELP.
The American justice system is spectacularly awful for a multitude of reasons and targets minorities who do not hold the power to complain about it. However it is to deeply entrenched for any movement perpetuated through violence to make a dent.
Police officers tend to not be bad people, the six assholes who are being charged in Baltimore are a rare thing. Most people don't join the police to lord their power over others for fun but because they want to protect and serve their communities.
There were over 1000 deaths due to police last year including all situations not just unjustified ones. There are over 900,000 police officers in the U.S this year. Roughly one cop out of every thousand kills someone every year. Most police retire after about twenty years. If no officer kills twice then 1 out of 50 officers kill someone.
Last year, 100 law-enforcement officers were killed. On average, over the past decade, there have been 58,261 assaults against law enforcement each year, resulting in 15,658 injuries.
60000 assaults per year over twenty years is 120000. Most copa will be assaulted more then once over the course of their careers often in deadly manner.
The people i know who worked in law enforcement have described it as the single most terrifying thing that has ever happened.
Usually a confrontation with the police ends with the assaulter arrested not killed.
Most Police officers are good people who do not want to kill anyone. Be careful not to generalize about them.
The police tend to be normal people. One out of every 50 has killed someone usually in justified circumstances (gun pulled on them, attacked, stabbed) However that leaves a small percentage who are not good people. These people must be found and purged from the police. Then our system must be changed so it will not appeal to someone looking for to abuse it.
Violent protest will only enforce the current system by allowing those who profit from it to defend it by pointing at anarchy. While unfortunately violence is sometimes the only possible solution this is not one of those situations.
"We have entered an infinite recursion of Saber."
Mm, no I am pretty sure law enforcement consists solely of Adachi and his countless clones. Clearly they must be destroyed by the public so we can all settle into our natural state of anarchic community.
