Yes or No?
Yes or No?
It's incredibly bad and incites new users to use it because they don't know better.
Please disable.
It makes IMG tags a pain to add because for some reason that shit still loads slow on a top connection, when it should be a single click.
[04:55] Lianru: i3uster is actuallly quite cute
It's terrible and seemingly every new user has to be told to not use it.
So ya.
Well actually the death of Polls was a mistake of Altima the Annihilator, DP's only part in that is refusing to bring it back.
There's no way you didn't see this poll DP.
Literally nobody wants this feature.
I want this feature.
Simply epic.
I'm not having fun in this at all and I'm quite cross with everyone who voted No without giving any reason whatsoever. Except Kelnish because we all knew he would do exactly that, and also because I'm permanently cross with him for being himself and this incident just gets absorbed into that.
You're really complaining for nothing.
I guess we're in good company then Crown.
Toss it into the fires of mount doom.
For all the people that say it's whining for no reason: The forum attachment system is objectively bad and a trap waiting to be sprung (and has been sprung, see Prisma thread for last time).
In order of descending importance:
- It resizes images based on standards acceptable ten years ago. What was okay before is literally too small to be readable now.
- Content is hosted in the forum's servers. These are not servers optimized for content delivery compared to, say, imgur or even imageshack. They load slow as fuck.
- It can't be linked elsewhere.
- I'm pretty sure there's size limits on it.
- It forces you to view the content through a crappy viewer thing.
- Attachments create a thumbnail on the post that looks bad.
The first three make for an objectively worse user experience for everybody trying to view the picture, and since you upload pics with the intention of sharing to others, it means the feature is a negative contribution to the overall forum experience.
It's acceptable for non-image resources, except nobody attaches that kinda files and when they do it's too big and people will use mediafire or equivalent instead.

It is also a pain in the ass to have to load the attachment thingie when you're trying to put an image through imgur or other such sites.
