I suppose this is about as good as I can ask for then. It's fine. It'd be nice to see some of the later, grander battles be animated well but it's not too big of a deal. As long as proper emotional build-up and pacing is maintained it'll be alright. I hope.
If I remember right, they released character designs for Beatrice, so they're either going to do Kei's route or Omnia Vincit Amor(Marie). It's likely to be the latter route then, everything considered.
They didn't actually. The first batch of anime character designs was Ren, Marie, Kasumi, Rea and Shirou
Today, alongside the new visual, OP and ED performers (OP will be sung by Marie's seiyuu, ED will be sung by Suwabe and Mercurius and Ren's seiyuu), they released the anime character designs for all the LDO members minus Beatrice and Tubal Cain

But alright I remembered wrong. No Beatrice design, that makes sense to not spoil stuff (a shame though). It's still likely they'll do Marie's route since that's the only one that really makes sense as a standalone (which it doesn't, but it's as close as you're going to get), but whether they'll do the Omnia Vincit Amor epilogue or not is a bit more questionable now. I saw the designs and they generally look alright, although I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of other facial expressions in their design sheet (since it sorta is the animators' reference sheet, and having more than the default half-smile expression would be really useful). Feels like Rubedo's scar is downsized a bit too.
Tubal Cain's barely a character that I guess it doesn't really matter whether we get character sheets for him or not.
Beatrice anime character design revealed now. So, only Tubal Cain doesn't have an anime design now

So apparently a Dies Irae spinoff novel (called Dies Irae: Song to the Witch) has come out that has, of all people, Marilyn Monroe as its main villain? Has anyone heard of this?
Gare covered it on his blog some time ago, and it sounds super interesting but well, the language barrier.

Yeah it took so long to translate a couple of porn scenes huh. Now they're in the ''programming phase'', 18+ patch coming at the end of September.

It may be because they also took the chance to add fixes for typos and stuff like that and were waiting until they were sure there were none left to fix. Also, lack of motivation because of how shitty they apparently are

DI references a fair amount of actual literature(reinhardt, mercurius, and ren each representing the ring cycle, faust, and the oddyssey for one), so it's not so surprising to hear this.
