Anyways, basically all porn scenes in VNs that aren't explicitly (to pardon the pun) centered around them are completely extraneous at best and outright terrible at worst.

Masada says that they're basically between the first two Ewigkeit stages. Something like "Look how strong I am, too bad you don't deserve seeing me pulling my actual weapon out".

Translation:

I've been getting lots of questions about the skeletons you often see in the anime; that's basically between Activation and Formation. The souls in possession are turned into an aura, but are not given the weapon's shape. It's similar to how Ren lets Marie walk around. In other words, it's a move that clearly shows that they're not using all their strength, so it's mostly used to clearly show their power in the anime. The regulars do it like this...

Also well, as interesting as that sounds, it also sounds like Masada's trying to make those skeletons fit into the pre-established lore more than anything. I suppose if the anime looked good in the first place I might have less of a problem with them skeleton bots. They're still ultimately a minor problem compared to the amount of things lost in transitioning to a different medium.

So uh, Marie's beheading powers can destroy immortals right? Why didn't it insta-kill Elenore even though she was immortal? Idk, I looked up her profile in a wiki and "Is cursed so that anyone whose soul and power isn't equal to or greater than her own will be instantly decapitated if they touch her, bypassing any form of immortality and regeneration". I'm guessing Elenore's power is too great for Marie to handle. And why didn't Marie's powers killed Kasumi when she touched her? Can she control it now unlike in the past?

In that scene in the VN it was mentioned that Marie lacked the determination to actually kill Elonore, so the cut was weaker.
And Ren controls her power, but he was unconcious when Elonore touched her.
