Alright, let's talk about some of the behind the scene stuffs. Since it's the long waited collaboration, we decided to split the story into 2 parts. The story from floor 1 ~ 5 is serious and fit to FGO theme. The story from floor 6 ~ 8 is everyone’s favorite fluffy space.
The story about Mephistopheles and Jekyll in this event is a reflection of KnK story. If you already read KnK, you might find references to certain character in KnK. If you like the writing in this event, you might find KnK interesting too.
Although we got some interesting concept, the story for floor 7 and above is just chaos. I can only say it’s Type Moon’s cancer, forgive me. In all honesty, we wanted to write Shiki’s daily life and this is the only place we could do it. In another word, it’s like Hollow (Ataraxia). We ended up writing a story that is 1.5x more than originally planned.
There is a reason why that girl in room 804 got new skills. For instance, she learned invulnerability by eating Red’s fried rice. She wanted to look good in front of admirable Babbage and learned to revive herself from death. Right, it has nothing to do with Ninja (her two new skills are named Ninpou: Invulnerable Lunch and Ninpou: Death Guts). As such, you may find her skills/ninpou changes depending on her team in the future.
Also, that room 801 stuff (Nobu room) is something I wanted to do since Honnouji event last year.
