I thought for sure you'd be getting that $2,000 128GB DDR4 kit that just came out.
That would be nice, haha. I really wonder how much of an improvement that would be...
Been running 16 GB for the past 5 years, and the audio software I use is the only thing that would really take advantage of it. Certainly no games have really taken much advantage of the 16 so far...

It's an i7 2600k, 16gb RAM, currently sporting a GTX980 that replaced the 580 I put in it when I first built the system. Running 3x 1920x1200 monitors (wish they still were in vogue, the 16:9 aspect feels too squished to me...).

So why did they adopt the 16:9 aspect ratio anyway? It feels like an oddly specific size.

I liked my 1920x1200 16:10s too, but moving up to a 28" 4K 16:9 I really don't miss the old ratio.
Also content is usually 16:9 so you don't lose anything on video.

It's when reading articles, working with spreadsheets, coding, audio tracks, all the stuff that you want vertical space for... that's where I really don't like 16:9.

I've never actually done SLI myself, actually, it's always struck me as more trouble than I've been willing to put up with. And as much as I like my video games looking nice, I've never been adverse to turning down graphical quality for the sake of performance (back when Quake first came out with 3dfx support, I'd still play in software mode for competitive play just because while in the best case the Voodoo 2 would run smoother, it would stutter more than software rendering in the worst case scenarios)

SLI is honestly pretty good these days, it's just that it doesn't add the VRAM together so you still only get 4GB (Or 3.5GB) with two 970s. They were really fast otherwise.

Supposedly but I can't see it happening any time soon.
e: Yeah this is awesome it gets 15,000 on 3DMark Firestrike. I only got 15,600 with two SLI 970s and a single card always runs better.
