More seriously, maybe have a look at something like TechReport's performance to price comparison chart.



I don't see any place where they have all the data consolidated from their multiple reviews, though considering price changes over time, that's probably not a simple task. There are charts for different price ranges with different reviews, though you might have to do some searching for them, and keep in mind current prices will likely be different. Have a look at what your budget is, see what cards fall in that price range right now (there have been some wild fluctuations in the last while), and then have a look at the performance numbers for the options available.

Nah I just realized that I can get a Japanese credit card and pay in installments, and that mobage have ruined my sense of what money is to the point that my reaction to paying $150 a month for a new phone was “Wow, it’s basically free!”

Here's something for the whizzes.

Last two or three days, Chrome's been hitching. Like clockwork, two seconds of normal play, then it freezes for about half a second, then carries on. Audio's unaffected, it's just visual, and what's weirder is, if I open up another program and set it in a window on top of Chrome, the hitching vanishes completely. Only with Chrome.

Anybody had this?
