Bethesda just released their first trailer for Fallout 4 a few hours ago, and since I saw no thread for it yet I decided to make one. It looks like the PC comes from Vault 111 and the game will take place in Boston, and I've heard rumors that they're supposed to a a survivor from Pre-War times, though I don't know if that's true. Looks like this is going to be a fun one, prepare to get hype!

I'm curious how Boston is going to work as a setting. I loved the Capitol Wasteland of Fallout 3 because it served as kind of a living parable about power. There's a lot you can do with Boston, from its history to its growth, but these things work best when there's a unifying theme.
I recognize that the trailer was mainly about provoking that good old Fallout familiarity, but I wished they had showcased at least one new feature.

I'll probably play it because it has Fallout in the name, but it's only been downhill since Fallout 2.
NV was, at worst, as good as 2.
Hopefully it will be as fun as Skyrim. Don't dissapoint meValve BlizzardBethesda.

I dunno, I liked the feel of FO3 a lot better than NV, though NV did have a lot more to it.
3 felt like an actual city, with people you could talk to, and other people' choices apparently making a difference as much as yours did. NV just seemed to wait around for you to solve everything yourself.

I don't really want to knock on FO3 too hard. If it didn't happen we would have gotten Van Buren and just look at the gameplay of that thing and tell me you prefer that to NV. It's a fun game, pretty good, managed to nail the retrofuturistic aspect better than FO2. The problem is that it's inevitably put in comparison to NV which is one of the best games of all time.

no but really the trailer isnt very good but i'm still hyped
Still haven't played it. Maybe if I notice it on sale on Steam.
