That was always kind of ambiguous. For the longest time I thought he astralized away in the VN after getting rebuffed in the Fate route (after Saber and Shirou's date) but the text never actually says it... he just... leaves.Originally Posted by Flere821

I was actually thinking somewhere along the lines of being a reference to that invisibility shroud thing from Prisma Illya, except flashier because he's goldy. But I guess he wouldn't have to hide at all since he's Gil, huh...
And the frying pan. Yeah, it's a little overboard, but this story was inspired by that one chapter in All-Around Type Moon where there were two Illyas (at least I think it was), so I took the liberty of taking more moments from it. Not to mention with what I foolishly did, I think humor's gonna be in short supply...
That said, I'm pretty sure Gilgamesh vs Gilgamesh could crush Fuyuki and make it a crater. Place your bets on who wins, ladies and gents!

The Gil in Prisma was for some reason completely taken over by the mud, though, and lost his mind. So it is a different kind of Gil at least.

Gilgamesh made the ego-removing process screw up by being Gilgamesh, so he ended up as a card that could take over other people but his power was split in two and the black half went berserk.
It's not very well explained and I'd have to reread to go into details.

This isn't quite a conventional story, but I'm liking what you're doing so far.
I mean it in the most positive of ways. Two Gils, plus more of Prisma's cast can only result in things getting messier and I like that.
