They're dead, and they're goblins. Buggers don't need any sympathy from good, civilized folk. As for the thugs? Well, you certainly wouldn't be wrong to say they got their just deserts, because ultimately if you're a Good party you'd kill the thugs yourself anyhow.

I would place those as Neutral acts.
A good party would leave the option open for the Redbrands to surrender and not automatically assume killing them.
As for feeding the dead to monsters or wolves, that's something Orcs would do. A good party would respect the dead. The rules for good behavior don't change just because you're dealing with bad people. Still treating them humanely is what separates Good from the rest.
Unless Goblins in your world are just innately evil. But even then...

I thought that Goblins WERE inherently evil, like Orcs.
It's funny, our Druid thought it was horrible killing the Goblins and kept trying to protect them (from each other, who kept killing failures) but was the one who suggested feeding their corpses on the wolves and was super keen on the idea.
Neither of those are inherently evil. They're just sentient creatures with barbaric cultures.
Demons are inherently evil. Undead are inherently evil. Goblins and orcs are just other humanoids that are wild.

Hah! I remember there is a later goblin being bullied by bugbears, so that will be fun. Especially since their first encounter with a Bugbear left them terrified of the things (I buffed him)
Maybe it was LOTR that had me confused. I just thought Orcs and Goblins were classified as "always chaotic evil" in editions that used descriptions like usually, always, etc
He was a pesky typical little cowardly goblin, that the player coaxed into joining the party over the grumbling of the others who just wanted to kill it and be done with it. Then he bought him some clothes, snuck him around town, and would tip him gold coins, and defend the goblin from the other players when the goblin would inevitably get into mischief like trying to steal from them while they slept.
Later in the cave, they were almost dead so the player told the goblin stand at attention so he could knight him, gave him a gold coin for his trouble, then swiftly decapitated him by surprise. He then retrieved all the items he had given him over the duration and tossed the still warm body at the nothic to eat, to buy passage.
The funny part is it was the rest of the party that was disturbed and aghast by this now. (I rated that as an Evil act, btw.)

Nothics seem way more frightening than their actual prowess, no-one wants to fight those fuckos
Wellll, the nothic was in a ravine; one of the players had fallen into it, and was nearly dead and alone with the nothic.
The others were at the top of the cliff and would not get there in time to save the beleaguered player.
So the one with the goblin chopped off its head and threw it down the pit, where the nothic would be distracted by it. And while it was distracted, they rescued the other player.
In terms of rescuing that player, there was nothing else they could really do. He pulled a miracle out of a hat.
The Good party members didn't like that he betrayed someone he was essentially treating like a son, while the player in question said he was the actual Good one because he saved someone.
