I didnt lose control I just forgot to pick the mousemode that lets you move tokens
Also I made the final boss cheat with magic to beat me so Im satisfied.

Besides I knew I had to end it quick before roll20 switched to Bad_Roll.exe and we got stuck in a loop of missing each other for fifty rounds.

For my part Pathfinder is the only system I know so yeah, no warlock there.

Negative Energy cyclone is pretty magic if you ask me.
I've always enjoyed 13th Age's escalation die for preventing the badroll hail of misses.

Effectively on the second round of combat, you put d6 on the table at '1'. All characters get a +1 bonus to all attack rolls (and i guess in PF it'd be their DC's would increase by 1 for spells). This increases each round till you get to +6. Rounds where players dick around and do nothing either don't increase it or even lower it.
Normally monsters don't get this, however dragons and big bad boss guys do. It actually makes the later stages of boss fights really scarey. Before I started using it I had many bosses who'd devastate the first 2 rounds and then suddenly become incapable of hitting anything.
As an anti-Nova feature, its also recommended you increase the AC (and I guess saves) of all enemies by 1. In essence, you don't actually benefit till round 3 and higher of combat, as during round 2 you are 'equal' to before, and round 1 effectively has a small penalty.

Yeah Im super bummed out that I can't play for like a week due to going to Mallorca but you win some you lose some. Our next one-two-shot thing is at level 11 so that'll be exciting.

I just finished an IRL session. There are so many plot threads to going on now that everybody has to have a strategy meeting to decide which of the ten leads to pursue.
Also the player that loves being a troublemaker finally got his comeuppance.

i think ive spent more time playing d&d than not since i got back
this time we only had 4 people instead of 9 so after the fireworks we got together to play
everybody wanted to roll random characters after i told them about the game with siriel and the others i ran along with the pathfinder one i played in
unlike them everyone rolled 14 to 18s and got more nat 20s than ive seen my entire life
