I've been running a Menet-Ka New Game+ lately with some of the groups that completed it, and it's been fun seeing them grapple with how deep they dare to go back into the tomb in search of more treasure and glory.

Huh. Setting reads like an Urban Fantasy Exalted, or perhaps just regular Scion (though I've never played Scion so it's hard to say). Though the emphasis on secrecy also reminds me of Princess...

25 dollars for a .pdf file seems a bit steep.
pdf or not, it still had a ton of time and effort poured into the translating, editing, artwork, etc.
I'd get the physical copy anyway though.

Hm, that is true.
A little bit like Scion in its involvement with mythology, but not totally. If were talking about the upcoming 2e(with all it glories, since 1e was lacking on so much, broken in so much more) Scion doesn't really have a thing about being shadow warriors fighting monsters in the shadow, at least not anything above Origin Tier. Scions thing is that you are essentially building a Legend, so you are gonna be having your names known, even when trying to go sneaking your still likely be know to the public in one false persona or another(like Phantom Theives in P5)
As for why I'm going on a tangent on Scion, don't know. Probably just the hype that its almost about to be released.

I can sympathise with that. I've got like 6-7 rulebooks of games I've never gotten to play on my phone and every time I flip through one to pass the time I wish I had someone to play'em with.
As for Scion, I thought its whole thing was that being a demigod is dangerous and you shouldn't really advertise it if you can help it?

That's first edition. It was basically playing up the Mythological side and have it done similar to WoD/CofD.
The 2e is having it is that it's not like people don't know that their are monsters roaming about. Whether Kitsune, Satyrs or other stuff. It's just isnt in the front and center in their lives, I had someone described it as this. Everyone knows their is organized crime and the mafia, just no one really interacts with it it's more of a story then something people can actually relate to.
As for what Scions big thing is now, well its basically becoming and living like a mythic hero in modern day, as you build up you legend from Hero to Demigod then to God. Overall there's more to it then just that and after talking with the devs and reading the backer previews I'm honestly quite excited to see if I can have a chance to play this, because yes as you said finding a table interested can be a pain.
I did a long time ago when I was mostly looking through interesting New WoD(now CofD) fansplats. So that's one I read along with genius. Overall I think it was pretty cool, though I never played it.- - - Updated - - -
