A two-shot sounds like it would be fun- less the time pressure of having to get to the end in one go, plus the cavalier attitude that comes with not being saddled with your character for months on end and having to make sure they're "optimised" and stuff. But it would be an extra weight on the DM's mind to figure out the best stopping point, I guess.
