Im still going for Patroclus on Lancer.
For Saber, I'm pretty blank. The comrade thing kind of hints against it, but how one has a golden sword of wonder and one one of just steel makes me think he might be Lohengrin pre and post his adventure, with the golden sword being the one he was given to protect the maiden's dignity.

I'm glad that people enjoy my fight scenes; it's always difficult trying to give a clear image of what happens without making it a summary or a mishmash of metaphors. I'll also do my best to address, or at the least mitigate, any inconsistencies that come up - barring spoilers, of course.
As for Lancer and Saber (and Saber), keep guessing; your speculations feed my motivation! I had to restrain myself from dropping too many hints.

Something about how Heroic Spirits and Noble Phantasms aren't entirely accurate and can integrate tall tales and misconceptions like Semiramis getting the Hanging Gardens even though the text itself acknowledges she actually shouldn't have it all.
Nah, his legend is such that he can withstand absurd amounts of punishment, any individual number of injuries of which should be immediately fatal and continue fighting. Only an application of the "chunky salsa rule" is sufficient to keep Rasputin down for good, in spite of any historical evidence to the contrary.
