20 DLC characters dood.

Hahahahahahahahahaha! So let me get this straight:

- We're getting half the roster in the main game, while the other half is locked as paid DLC. That's 20/20 WTF.
- Said roster is composed mainly from already done characters that only require a bit of tweaking (doesn't seem like they have new moves) to adapt to the new game. So they haven't been made from scratch, and we're still being forced to pay for them.
- One of the main reasons some people told me they were going to buy this game was to play with the RWBY characters, and guess what, one is already paid DLC, the first one ffs they don't even pretend that they don't have it already done.
- And let's not forget that Arcsys loves to release much later a new version with all DLCs already in it and with game tweaks, making your old game obsolete and your paid DLCs a waste of money.

And this is what you call a suicidal move. I certainly am not paying for this game, why would I when there's obviously going to be an MK2 later? And for what I'm checking online a lot of people seems to think the same as me, because of course we're not dumb.

This is me. I already own UNIB, P4AU, and BBCF. RWBY is really the only real draw, and now we only get 2 of the main characters? I might pick up game with the all charcter pack if the DLC has some really neat choices in it. Then there's the fact Arcsys DLC tend to be 5-15 dollars each, so a twenty character pack may run up to double the price of the base game. Fuck that.

I can't help liking the dub. I love Mela Lee as much as Kana Ueda and my first experience with either Rachel or Tohsaka was through the dubs.
Also, Ragna's gag reels permanently sold me on Patrick Seitz as his voice.

You know Seitz is actually pretty cool; Normally ascended voice actors do horrible jobs *cough*colleenclinkenbeard*cough* but Seitz took BlazBlue extremely seriously when he was made voice director. Those games had quality dub work, with only a few exceptions. Hazama was particularly good dubbed because as long as he's wearing the hat, he has a sort of affably evil demeanor, and even though you hate him, you can't help but find him kind of delightful to watch. Meanwhile, his original Japanese voice was made to sound kind of grating. He's basically awful and just awful. They went for full diabolical and it felt rather one-track.

It helps that the series is filled with so many great lines. I'd list a few but if I got going I'd never stop.
(I've wanted to go through Continuum Shift, record the whole thing, post the playthrough, but then I'd go through the entire recording and replace every instance of Jin saying "Brother" with "Mongrel(s)" because David Vincent's voice is pretty much the same for all his characters.

I still haven't even bothered trying to find a playthrough of CentralFiction. I know most of the major plot points, and that's all that matters. I refute the very existence of this incomplete game. Mori'll cave to the urge to do an Extend. He always does. He says the story's pretty much complete but he always thinks of something. Doesn't even have to be story anyway, could just be a different mode of play. Like a sidescrolling arcade-style thing.

Never mind… I was really sure he did ChronoPhantasma, but it seems he only did the anime. Still pretty good as far as dubs go. But still, I messed up again.

English Dub and Prices Confirmed

Without further ado, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will have a full English track and dual audio option available. So while we already knew that the RWBY girls will be voiced by their actresses, the rest of the characters feature English voice acting too (marking the debut of Under Night In-Birth fighters in English, as well as certain BlazBlue newcomers, like Es).


Furthermore, there has been much debate about the BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle price, but Arc System Works confirmed details for the US version:


Retail price for physical and digital: $49.99
Individual DLC packs (there are six): $4.99
Complete DLC bundle: $19.99
Deluxe Digital Edition (the game with all the DLC): $69.99

We talked to the creator of BlazBlue about the Cross Tag Battle DLC controversy

I honestly think he should just say "We do this because we wanted to get more money from your pockets, so deal with it", because he keeps digging his grave with each explanation.

Also, a lot of people seem to think "Oh, but I wasn't planning to try all characters so it's all right", but it's not right, because you're paying for an incomplete experience. One of the most important things about a fighting game are the characters in it, and not having one of them in the roster means you're missing content, even if you weren't planning to use it. But of course, if you want to get the full experience it's $70 which is a ridiculous amount of money for a game that mostly consists on reused characters except a few ones.

Really, this controversy is probably going to affect the game sales in a bad way, specially if you're aware of another one of their crap tactics for selling more which will probably make people not buy this game.

Edit: Oh, and I seriously doubt it was a "mistake" that the RWBY were paid content. There's no way they would make a mistake of what they want you to pay for, it's probably a quick fix to the controversy by making all the new characters free.
