Oops, I forgot to provide the context in my reply... it was to:
There's no doubt that digital watches are better as a timekeeping device, let alone cost effectiveness, but I wear an automatic watch, because of my fascination for the craft (specifically, and of crafts in general).
Another similar example of my general mentality: compass + map over electronic GPS. GPS is fantastic when you have power, and I use it when I'm out in the wilds, but I'll never forgo the first, even if it is kept just as a backup. (And I do have a waterproof semi-rugged unit which runs on replaceable AA's, though it's due for an upgrade at this point)
Granted, a ruggedized digital watch is probably better for taking a beating, so it's not a completely similar situation. But being able to function without electricity is always a plus in my eyes.
Now back to my long-term plan of getting my house to the point where it can function off-grid...

ayy lmao €540 just for the box
I got mine Grey Market (with AD warranty), you'd have to be crazy to buy at RRP unless you are completely loaded.
did you really spend $600 on a box
He never sleeps. He never dies.
Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Nah if you buy the watch new everything is included.
