I can make it take 30 turns to reach him easy enough. Not sure how well I'll fair vs the Basilisks though (the reason I oneshotted them in my previous run was cuz I had Ares and your Ronia).
I also don't have many good Light Monsters besides Banchack (who I can evolve easily enough) and Archangel :X

2x damage on a boardfull of mostly reds + the fact that I occasionally put in Horus who will make it a bunch of strong red orbs + Ares effect = dead noob bosses. While I can do that this time as well I'm not really sure if it would work. I had a lot of trouble vs Blue Guardian for obvious reasons :s

You want to combo your leader skill with the friend's leader skill.
So I put shiva up who has 3x attack. Ares does 2x HP and 2x attack for red so that's. 6x attack for anything that's red including both ares and shiva.
If you use Ronia though, Ronia's leader skill only affects devils and ares isn't a devil.

If you're running Ares for clears and like how Ronia works, just take my Hyper Urd in. She's a full board changer (Fire, Water, and Heart), attack multiplier is higher than Ronia's (x3 at 1hp, x3.3 at 50%, and x3.5 at 100%), and has both an hp and rcv multiplier (so heals and tanks like ronia, too). If you do Urd->Ares->Horus, it's a board of pure glittery red death.
You is right that Ares-Shiva is way more effective than Ares-Ronia. If your just save blues and hearts at the bottom or side of the board, and clear the top or other side for mobs, you can just pop Ares at a boss room and get comparable red orbs to a Ronia active anyways, and deal way more damage because of the LSes overlapping with Ares-Shiva.

Oh I used to play this. I ran a mono green team with Chu Chulainn as a lead for my main group. That 9x dmg from two Lancers got me pretty far. I made it to rank 134 before burning out. Most of my main leads were green though. Artemis, Meimei, God Canopus, etc. I was going to make a mono dark team with Dracula but never got around to doing it seriously. I also wanted to upgrade Athena and use her as a lead, but getting that Light Orb thing to evolve her is way beyond my abilities haha.

Actually they're locked even further that way. You can only get an invade if you're doing mythic, you used be able to get a chance in legend.
However, now you can get them in gift dungeons, or even roll one in the pal egg machine when the evo materials are available, or when it's evo carnival.
Also in japan you can outright buy them with Monster Points but they're not that cheap.

Basically, if you can tank a sync'd double strike from both chimeras, you can tank one hit from KoG Zeus. If you can barely oneshot one, you need to deal only ten times more damage to kill Zeus. Only ten times more. It's a pretty good wall indicator.
