Yahoo has a cached version of parts of BL, if you have the exact URLs (which you can get slowly from the cache)

ahahaha.....so...I had some data loss a while back and lost a lot of documents, inluding the first two letters (not dear matou because it was written later) and apparently....I never resaved them afterwards because they were on the board

RB has a backup of the entire site, IIRC, so you can get anything you need from him, eventually.
Actually, it's simply a case of them saying "we don't want you to archive us", I think. Certainly the site says that they won't archive anything they're told not to (with good reason, I guess).
Which, to me, is a pretty sad indication of their wish to control the data on their forums and prevent people from leaving with their data, but....

Good luck! But if you don't find it and nobody has saved it, there is at least printed version left. Better than nothing... I tried to search my files, if I had saved it, but I hadn't.

Well, I have some of the old stuff. It's just that the letters were some of the best fics I recall seeing, and I didn't want them to be lost.
I think that, really, the people who we're going to end up thanking are RB and Lantz, because I think they managed to back up just about the whole damn forum before it went down.

actually, I was able to do a little gymnastics and pull the cashe by putting in quotes from the first page (actually, I think I used YOURS to pull emiya, so you saved me twice over, but I think I have them now.
